Day 2 & 3 - Juice Feasting


Day 3

Ahhh. Slept much better last night, got 6 hours in. Would love to look out the window at this view. Morning or evening. Water is very calming to me.

I missed a meal today. Will try to do better tomorrow.

It's a bear trying to open those young coconuts. Am I just spastic or what? Went on youtube to see how to open. Guess it takes some practice. I'm still getting some spillage. Guess I should start trying to open it a little higher. That water is soooo good! I would never think that sweetness mixed with greens would be palatable. Except for my green apples...I love green apples with my juices!

Well here's my menu today:
30 oz purified water with MSM and 1/2 lemon
30 oz tomato, mustard greens, yellow beet, parsley, purified water
30 oz carrots, celery, mustard greens, kale, beet greens, coconut water
32 oz green apple, carrots, celery, mixed bitter greens, purified water

weight loss to date: 7 lbs

dry brush before shower
3 bms back to back

Exercise
10 mins on rebounder

Energy Level
Not much of a change to note.

Sleep
As stated above, got about 6 hours last night.



Detoxification Symptoms
No stomach cramps! Craving popcorn and chocolate.

Miscellaneous
Since I am now finishing up a project from home, I haven't been as active as normal, so I'm not really getting a good since of my energy levels. I usually do about 30 mins on the rebounder, but the shorter time today is not because of lack of energy. It's more a flaw with my time management.

This past week, I've been on the internet a lot researching juice feasting. I wanted to start March 1 and was able to but probably rushed myself so I am backtracking. But it's been pretty cool so far.

I watch the life-generator videos on youtube to get some ideas about adding variety to the juices. He's both entertaining and informative. I joined the juice-feasting website but haven't been to the green room yet. I'll probably try that tomorrow.



Day 2 - Get Ready.... Get Set....Go!

Well, I on my way. Right now I am using my blender to make my juices. It can be time consuming. I know, I know....I've read that you should expect to spend time every morning juicing. I can only get to 2-3 in the morning and then juice one more quart once I get home in the evening. I ordered a Breville juicer but it's not scheduled to arrive until Friday.

My stats for today:

30 oz warm purified water w/msm (forgot to load up on lemons)
30 oz parsley, beets, kale, apple, chard, carrots, kelp, purified water
30 oz coconut water, 1/2 cucumber, carrots, kale,
30 oz 1/2 cucumber, celery, chard, carrots, parsley, purified water
30 oz celery, collards, carrots, purified water

dry brushed before shower.
weight loss to date: 5 lbs

3 bms back to back (is this normal?)

Exercise

Energy Level
Not much of a change to note.

Sleep
Didn't sleep well because of stomach cramps.

Detoxification Symptoms
Hope the stomach cramps subside over the next couple of days. Didn't think I'd experience them again since I went through this 2 weeks ago with the Master Cleanse. Hope it gets better.
Craving chocolate and seafood.

Day 1 - Juice Feasting - The Journey Begins...


A funny thing happened on the way to a Cleanse. I found a Feast!

Hey, all I wanted was to do a cleanse and get my system back on track. Eat to Live. Jump-start my metabolism.

I was into day 5 of a (planned 30 day) Master Cleanse and decided to start searching for info on raw foods based on recommendations of what to do post-MC. Came across a lot of info, one being Everyday Dish and Chef Chaya's raw recipes. Next thing you know, I'm on her website reading about juice feasting.

My first thought was "what kind of parallel universe are these people on?". Yeah, it seemed quite different and unhealthy. But of course, you can't help but read on thinking something will make sense and the more I read, the more I started to understand it. I seek comfort now knowing that Angela Stokes felt the same when she first heard of it.

So today I started my JF journey. I am posting this first blog very late but it's still right on time! I will make this one brief since I am ready for a great peaceful sleep filled with REM (which I don't get enough of). Here are my stats for the day:

Daily Juice and Supplements

30 oz warm purified water with 1/2 lemon and 1 teaspoon MSM
30 oz kale, parsley, rainbow chard, ginger, 1/2 green apple, 2 stalks celery, beet leaves, 1/2 beet, purified water
30 oz kale, chard, ginger, 1/2 green apple, 2 celery stalks, beet, purified water
30 oz carrots green apple celery
30 oz carrots, kale, parsley, beets, chard, ginger
1 tablespoon bee pollen

Skin brushing before shower.

Exercise
30 mins on rebounder

Energy Level
Not much of a change to note.

Sleep
Got about 5 hours last night. Interesting to see if I can get a full night's sleep tonight.

Detoxification Symptoms

Stomach cramps which is the same as when I first started the Master Cleanse. Btw, I stopped the MC last Tuesday (after 11 days) to get in any chewing I'd been missing before starting the juice feast. It was all psychological...didn't really NEED to chew, just felt like I'd missed out on something and would be in a quandary if I didn't chew something. Alas, I'm over it.

Had a slight headache later in the day.

Food Cravings
Any tv commercial that has food in it looks good to me. Especially seafood.
